Trends, innovation and well-being: the legacy left by the twenty-second edition of Beauty and Health 2024
The twenty-second edition of the Beauty and Health fair ended successfully. For five days, the event brought together more than 300 exhibitors who presented innovative products and trends in the beauty industry, together with visitors and professional buyers from different sectors and the general public interested in comprehensive care and well-being for women and men.
Marcela Sánchez, project manager of the Beauty and Health fair, said: “ Beauty and Health is the most important platform for the beauty industry in the country and the region . We have the participation of leading brands, emerging brands, visitors with a professional and mass profile, which consolidates us as the ideal setting for generating business contacts and sales opportunities.”
The success of this edition is proof of the Beauty and Health Fair's commitment to continue being an essential platform for the growth and development of the different brands that make up this industry. Over the course of five days, professionals in the sector had the opportunity to connect, exchange knowledge and close important commercial agreements.
As an added value of the fair and key for the sector, there are different congresses with an educational focus that seek to provide training and formalization tools to professionals working in the industry. The event included academic activities such as:
Hair Professional Congress Colombia
One of the new events that stood out this year was the first edition of the Hair Professional Congress Colombia, where attendees and industry leaders shared knowledge, trends and passion for hairdressing. Spaniard Óscar Guinea, author of the book “Peluqueros Millonarios” and director of The Hair MBA, highlighted: “The most important thing is to create a community of hairdressers, barbers and stylists who want to work towards a common goal, which is to elevate the hairdressing industry, create a very powerful ethical and artistic mentality, and at the same time a business mentality with a focus on technology.”
The congress, which featured nine prominent national and international speakers, was essential for stylists and hairdressers to stay at the forefront, improve their skills and learn about the new opportunities offered by the hair industry.
3rd International Symposium on Cosmetics and Health
Another of the innovative academic scenarios that brought together specialists from the cosmetics industry, dermatologists, beauticians, cosmiatrists, therapists, nurses and caregivers, was the International Symposium on Cosmetics and Health, where the latest research, techniques and technological advances in the sector were discussed. This symposium was key to promoting the exchange of knowledge on the impact of cosmetic products on health and well-being.
The speaker Guiselle Laguado was particularly noteworthy when she spoke about how the biological rhythm impacts the effectiveness of cosmetic treatments and the best ways to take advantage of it to obtain positive results for patients.
Emotional well-being
One of the highlights of this edition was the comprehensive focus on well-being. Attendees enjoyed talks and lectures that promoted a healthy lifestyle, reinforcing the importance of emotional and physical connection. "Connecting my emotional world" was an example of this, leaving a mark on the participants.
William Mateus, CEO & Academic Director of Fitness Style , highlighted the importance of this space: “the pavilion helped raise awareness about the importance of balancing external beauty with internal health. It is not just about looking good, but about feeling good, addressing areas such as nutrition, mental health, stress management, physical activity and wellness treatments.”
Experiences and trends
Nails Art
The Nails exhibition areas were a showcase of the most relevant trends, from new techniques in Nail Art, manicure, pedicure, and nail design techniques. In addition, the fifth edition of the Brush Wars was held, where once again the participants surprised with their talent and creativity, raising nail art to another level, leaving a new queen as the winner of the competition.
Make Up Platform
In Hall 3, there was La Tarima Make Up, a dynamic and specialized space where makeup, cosmetics and hair care professionals showed their innovative techniques and products. This stage was a key point where new makeup trends, live demonstrations and product launches from well-known brands were presented. Some of the exhibitors that stood out were Las 36 Caras Fx, Violeta Garden, Mooi Orígenes, Kahai, Curly Lovers, among others, which presented topics such as: hair care with nanotechnology, curly hair, skin protection against sunlight and artificial lights, Cacay nut oil as a key ingredient in cosmetic products, etc.
